Mailing goods home while travelling

This might be a stupid question, but I will want to mail home things I buy while travelling in Japan since I don't want to bring a large suitcase. What would I put on the return address since I won't be staying in any one place for a long time? My only fear is that the package will get returned for some reason and if it's without a return address, I'll obviously never see it again. I haven't been out of the country for a long time so I forget what you're supposed to do in these circumstances!

You can write your name as the sender "c/o.... (hotel name and address), Japan," and also write your name and your home address as the recipient. That way the hotel can contact you SHOULD the package ever get returned.
