Hi, i'm a photographer from Holland and i'm working on a project about seaweed (worldwide). I also would like to include seaweed production in Japan in my reportage. Does anyone know where i can find these seaweed producers (not only in Hokkaido)? Does anyone know if there are restaurants in Japan that are specialized in seaweed dishes? Thanks for your help! Peter

Tengusa is produced in Shizuoka, Mie, Wakayama, Tokushima, Ehime, Yamaguchi, Oita, Nagasaki, Kumamoto. Nori is produced at the following places. http://www.yamamotoyama.co.jp/wisdom/nori/sanchi.htmlHijiki http://www.hijiki.org/html/content/source.htmlWakame: Sanriku and Naruto. Okinawa is famous for umibudo. Tokyo still gets some seaweed, too. What else... Also, from a quick internet search; http://www.japan-seaweed-association.com/
