Help With Travel....

Hi,
I need some basic help with places in Japan. Could you guys please give me the average amount of time from the following places FROM Tokyo????

Harajuku
Akihabara
Kyoto

Okay, maybe I should have been more specific but I'm about to fall asleep on the keyboard so I'm really sorry!!!!

Umm, also, I need more information on JR passes and what they are good for! Please don't post any links....

And, lastly, I would like to know more about transportation. Best way to get to those places above? Cheapest? Thanks....

You should be more specific.

As Uji said, the first two places are actually central suburbs of Tokyo, so you need to decide where you are staying first. This site has information on how to get to all the places you mentioned in the appropriate pages- don't forget to use the info pages as well as the forum, there are really very useful!

Also, you could save yourself time by asking your questions all in one post rather than spreading them out so much.

First, thanks to you both. The reason I spread my posts out was because the questions came to me at different times.

I meant from Shibuya to Akihabara sorry. And then from Shibuya to Kyoto.

Instead of clicking on the links, try copying and pasting them into your browser, or just typing them out if that is not possible. You are asking for a lot of info, and most people don't have the time to type out everything when it is to be found elsewhere on the site.

It's up to the transportation you choose, JR train or subway. Roughly, it would be within 16 minutes from Shibuya to Akihabara and 3 hours to Kyoto.

Haha, I knew someone was going to tell me to copy and paste the links. Thanks for all the help but my computers 'http/' thingy if messing up right now so that doesn't usually work either. Sometimes I can't get to Google. Anyway, that's another story....
