Need advice in planning trip to Hokkaido 2009/4/19 08:25
Hi, we r 2 singaporean girls planning for a Free and Easy trip to Hokkaido in early Aug.

The places that we r interested to visit are: Lake Toya, Mt Showa, Mt Usu, Nishinyama Kakou, Sobetsu, Shiraoi Ainu Village, Jigokudani/Hell valley, Noboribetsu Date jidai Mura, Furano Tomita Farm, Sounkyo Gorge, Shiretoko-Akan National Park, Otaru, Sapporo and Hakodate.

Pls advise if the above places are able to fit into a 7days itinerary (max we r able to stay up to 8-9days). Is it convenient to get around with public transportations or we can look for day trip packages after we arrived in Chitose?

At least 10-11 days are required for the all the destinations, which you have listed, especially if you travel by public transportation.

It is possible to travel by public transportation, but especially around Shiretoko and Akan, but also around Furano, Noboribetsu and Lake Toya, a rental car is recommended and saves a lot of time.
