Tokyo to Sapporo

My Question,

How many days/hours traveling from tokyo to sapporo using motorcoach by bus or shinkansen bullet train

Don't know about the bus but by train you can leave Tokyo as early as 0656 and be in Sapporo at 1658 or as late as 1256 for a 2256 arrival

y not take domestic flight.. abt 1.5 hrs only..

I figure if somebody is asking train or bus then it comes down to $$ or YY
If the person had a JR pass then the trip would be equal to one day of its value as opposed to the cost of a flight which could easily exceed the cost of a 7 day JR pass.
