What does dana mean in a reply?

Well, I'm attempting to translate something. The first person asks if it's a dead end. The next person replies with "dana". It's not 'danna'. I can't find anything to help hint at what it could be. If it helps any, the next line is 'honjama'. I'm still working on that as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm extremely new to this.

"...da na." says "I guess so" in that dialogue, so it IS a dead end.

"da" is a plain form of "desu" and "na" is a sentence ending used mostly by males in dialogues, often for emphasis.

"honja ma" is a very colloquial form of "soreja ma," so it's like "well, then."
