baseball game october 2009

we will be goint to japan from 10/1-9 but the dates are open. we want to go when the weather is not too hot since we will be traveling with 78 yr old grandma and 2 kids (1.5 and 4). I thought the kids would really enjoy going to see a baseball game. i am not sure what season baseball starts and ends. would we be able to see a game in tokyo or kumamoto during our stay. if so how would i go about ordering tickets.

The Japanese baseball season ends on Monday, October 5th. Unfortunately, the four teams playing on that night are not from Tokyo (Kumamoto doesn't have regular pro baseball) so you're probably out of luck this time... If you could change your travel date to the end of September, then you'll find something for sure whether it be in Yokohama (Bay Stars), Tokyo (Giants), Saitama (Seibu), etc.
