walk between Sophia U & Imperial Palace?

Is it possible to walk between the university and the Palace? It looks as if the gates may all be on the other side ...

Sophia University seems to have to multiple campuses in central Tokyo. The one in Yotsuya looks the biggest. So, I assume that is the one you are referring to.
From the Yotsuya campus' East Gate, it is about one kilometer (15-20 minute walk) to Hanzomon Gate of the Imperial Palace. From there, it is an additional 1.5 kilometers to the Nijubashi Bridge (if walking counter-clockwise around the palace grounds) or to the Tayasumon Gate in the north of the East Gardens (if walking in clockwise direction).
Otemon Gate is located almost exactly opposite of Hansomon Gate, about 2.5 kilometers in either direction.

If you're talking about the Ichigaya campus, it's located next to Yasukuni Jinja, which is across the street from Kitanomura Park, which is adjacent to the Imperial Palace. So it would be a hop and a skip.
