One more question,
I hope I can combine rafting on Kushiro river with some biking in Hokkado. Could anybody recommend any pictueresque places suitable for biking there? Some coast roads? with not heavy traffic, lakes, etc? I consider the following route: Kushiro-Nemuro-Rausu Pass-Abashiri - and if time along the Eastern coast to Wakkanai.
I will be very gratefull for any suggestions.

I enjoy driving the following route every summer.
Teshikaga -- Lake Mashu -- Iozan -- Lake Kussharo -- Bihoro Toge -- Teshikaga.

Why the same route every year? Don't you have any experience with coastal roads or you rather not recommend any of them?
