Do I need to book hut in advance?

I am going to be climbing Mt Fuji on 15th July with a friend. We want to see the sunrise from the top, so would like to sleep in a hut - do we need to book in advance or can we just turn up at a hut?

We also plan to climb Fuji-san this month and would like to know how to book a room in one of the huts. I've climbed it before but we did up and down in a day. So I also would like to know how to book a room. Probably on the Fujinomiya side.
