wanting ideas for romance near Nikko?

I want to have a nice, romantic time in/near Nikko with my new girlfriend from Tokyo for about 2 to 3 days. Could someone recommend some adventures for us, like restaurants, hiking, camping, onsen, somewhere to get away from the crowds. Thanks!

I recommend to see the temples and shrines on one day, hike in the Okunikko region on a second day and visit one or two theme parks in the nearby Kinugawa area on the third day.
As for accommodation, there are some nice small pensions in central Nikko. I also enjoyed my stay at the Kanaya Hotel, one of Japan's oldest Western style hotel. In Kinugawa, there are lots of huge onsen ryokan, which can provide for a different, but also very nice overnight stay.
