JR rail pass application in Japan? 2009/7/13 12:56
Is it possible to have a Japan rail pass sent to an address in Japan? live in Japan and I will have some people visiting me this week. They could not find a travel agent to get them the pass at home, so is it possible to apply for it here and have it sent to my address?

They need to purchase a VOUCHER (called Exchange Order or something from memory) WHILST overseas, and then exchange that in Japan with their passport to a real ticket.

YOU could try contacting an overseas office and see if they'll send you the voucher (on the assumption that only a genuine visitor on an appropriate passport will be able to exchange it anyway). Wouldn't hold my breath though. ;)
