More about the Fuji Hakone Pass please

Please correct me if i'm wrong. The Fuji Hakone Pass is valid for 3 days meaning:
day 1: can choose to go to either Hakone or fuji area. If take chuo bus from shinjuku(board for fuji) at the end of the day, i will be able to take the same bus back from fuji to shinkuju therefore round trip included.
then day 2: from shinjuku to odawara to Hakone, assume stay one night in hakone then day 3 will go back to shinjuku via odakyu line train? Round trip too? Am confuses so need some clarifications here. Thank you everyone for your prompt and helpful input.

As far as I know, each leg of the round trip can be done only once. So if you take the bus Shinjuku to Fuji, you must return from Odawara to Shinjuku, and you can't go back and forth on each leg.
