Acne medicine 2009/7/24 23:41
I'd like to know if anyone has any experiences of acquiring medication for acne, particularly isotretinoin, in Japan.

I('ve) had severe acne for years and got rid of it for a while by taking isotretinoin, but every time I stop the acne comes back.

I'm going to study in Japan for a year and I would like to know if and how I could get my hands on isotretinoin in Japan, since my dermatologist can only prescribe it to me for a month in advance (the law says so).

I feel really insecure about myself when my skin is in bad condition, so I really would like to keep it nice and clear while I'm in Japan.

Thanks in advance for anyone who replies.

If you will be in/near Tokyo, there is the Tokyo Skin Clinic in Roppongi, which specialises in acne treatments. (Google for their website). They have Roaccutane and other treatments. Unfortunately though it is very expensive, and not covered by the Japanese national health insurance system. The doctors there speak English and Dutch as well as Japanese.

I won't be anywhere near Tokyo, but thanks anyway.

It seems no one can help me with this problem :(
