Kansai or Kanto Onsen?

I will be travelling to Japan early November for 10 nights, and an overnight stay at an onsen is a must. Last year I stayed at an onsen in Kurama, and it was perfect! However, I thought I would try s/thing different this time. Currently, my itinerary looks like this:
Day 1: Tokyo
Day 2: Tokyo (possible day trip to Nikko or Kamakura)
Day 3: Tokyo (Nikko or Kamakura)
Day 4: Tokyo
Day 5: Kyoto
Day 6: Kyoto (day trip to Hiroshima)
Day 7: Kyoto (day trip to Nara)
Day 8: Onsen (possibly Kurama or Hakone?)
Day 9: Tokyo
Day 10: Tokyo

So, the question is whether I should stay safe and go back to Kurama (or find another onsen in Kansai) or head to Hakone for 1 night.
