Hokkaido or Kyushu in early april?

Hi,
I plan to visit Japan for 2 weeks on 5-18 April. I have 3-4 days left to choose between Hokkaido and Kyoshu to be added into my itinerary. Would it be anything to see in Hokkaido in april? I mean no flower blooming(sakura, lavender, pink moss) no snow festival. Should I go back there any other time with more to see?
On the other hand Kyushu should be alright in april, right? Aso-san, Beppu and Sakura.
Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

Generally speaking, April is not a good month to visit Hokkaido. Winter has not really ended, while spring has not really started. Kyushu is more pleasant.
Also, it depends on the rest of your itinerary.
