JR Sapporo to Nanboku line?

I will be coming from Chitose airport and i want to go to Nakajima koen station. I understand that i must take JR to Sapporo station and change to the Nanboku line, but how do i get to the Nanboku line from JR Sapporo station?

On foot. The subway station of the Nanboku Line is just below Sapporo Station. There are signs in English.
