This may come off as a rather absurd question, but I really need an answer.
I have recently opened a bank account in Japan. ILm not a big spender, which means I``ll be able to save some money.
My question is this: I might end up having to go back to my home country, you never know. Should that happen, I`ll have to make a bank transfer. Is anyone familiar with the fees banks charge for this? Moreover, what about taxes, etc?
Thank you very much in advance.

International bank transfers typically cost around 1000-3500 yen in service fees on the Japanese side plus eventual additional fees on the side of your home country.
No taxes have to be paid on bank transfers.
