Do you pay a fee above the advertised price for a baseball game or concert ticket in Japan?

Depends on where you buy the tickets - if you buy them at a ticket agency like Pia, EPLUS, etc., they will charge you handling fee, plus shipping charges/ticket issuance charges if you buy online and have them shipped to you in Japan or pick up at a convenience store.
If you buy them right at the gate on the day, there should not be any extra charges.
