Costco has both at a reasonable price--most gourmet food shops have both, expect to pay a lot for real imported Italian parmesan. most super markets have fresh mozzarella.

hanamasa usually has lots of cheeses. they will probably stop selling fresh mozzarella soon since it's considered a summer cheese here, and they'll only keep the gross american kind. they also carry big bags of shredded cheese of various types.

If your budget is not an issue one of the best cheese selections in the whole world is in the basement of the Isetan store in Shinjuku: has been part of cheese shows on Lifestyle Food channel

Mozzarella and Parmesan(Parmigiano) or Parmigiano Reggiano can be obtained at almost any department store, and often at supermarkets. Where are you located?

I second the basement of Isetan in Shinjuku. There are some fantastic quality cheeses there. You can get Fresh Mozzarella and Parmesan all year around in most department stores too.
