Oimachi Toyoko inn

We are planning to stay a few days in either Oimachi or Shinagawa Toyoko inns. Could anyone please advise which one of the two has more nightlife , eating places or shopping centres.

I used to work in Oimachi. Oimachi is rather for a family pace.
Near the station, there are Atre which is a department store, and Ito Yokado which is a supermarket.
Also there are many places for drinking. Some of them are tipical Izakaya, but you can find ones with very local atmosphere in the east side of Tokyu Oimachi Sta. I like this area, but I'm not sure you do cos it's not very fashionable and clean, it's narrow and crowded. Just visit and see if you are interested.
On the other hand, Shinagawa is a city for business. There are so many places to eat and drink near the sta(both Konan and Takanwa exit). You can enjoy shopping as well.
Tamachi(next stop from Shinagawa) area also has many places for drinking.
