Hi, I would like to throughly explore Tokyo's best shopping areas and wanted to know exactly which was the best street or streets to walk in: Ginza. Akihabra. Shibuya
and where are the flagship locations for the beat Deparment stores thanks

It all depends on what kind of shopping you want to do. For example...
Ginza: For the most pricey and traditional Akihabra: For anime, manga and electric appliances Shibuya: For teens fashion
Same goes for department store. What's your preference and age range and what do you want to buy?

Akihabara also has cameras, computers, gadgets.
Others: - Kanda/Ochanomizu (Ogawamachi to Jimbocho) sports store area along Yasakkuni Dori, including snow gear. - Ochanomizu between west exit and Yasakuni Dori. Musical instruments - Ueno. Ameyoko market. Sells fish, food, clothes, shoes, watches, golf clubs, cosmetics, bags, etc. - Asakusa. Souvenirs, food, clothes, pottery, fabrics, Japanese Obi. - Harajuku/Omotesando. "Tweens" clothes in Takashita Street, name brands clothes in Meiji Dori. - Shinjuku. Department stores, camera shops, just about anything. - Odaiba. Shopping Malls, outlet stores. - Kamata. Hobbies(just about anything), fabrics, etc.
