How do you say? 2009/9/21 11:50
I've sorta been teaching myself japanese for like a year, but was a little lazy with it...but last saturday I started taking classes at a nearby japanese cultural center and so yea. ^_^l

I wanted to know how to say:
"I'll never forget you"

I was thinking something like:
"Anata ga wasurenaide" but I felt like it might be wrong...

and um...
"I'm glad I met you"
"Because of you I'm stronger now"
"I've decided that I'll never let you cry, be hurt or alone again"

thanks! :3

"Wasurenaide (kudasai)" is for saying "Please don't forget" ...

If you want to say "I will not forget you," it should be "Anata wo wasuremasen" (polite speech) or "Anata wo wasurenai" (casual speech).
If you want to emphasize "I will never..." then you can say: "Anata wo kesshite wasuremasen" or "Anata wo kesshite wasurenai." ("kesshite + negative form of verb" = definitely not = never)

You might want to replace the word "anata" with the person's name or "kimi," depending on whether you are male/female, and who you are talking to, etc.

If you are taking lessons (I don't know how far into grammar you are now, though) you want to give it a try with other senteces too? :)
