How much can a fresh PhD graduate (in robotics) earn in a month, say in industry and in academia, in Japan (in Yen)?
I`m talking about a foreigner with with a PhD from a Japanese university

A postdoc at a university or government funded research institution would get about
330,000 yen per month.
This is the monthly allowance of a JSPS postdoc fellowship which I think is meant to be about the same as the average postdoc salary.
Industry obviously pays better but it depends on the company, the person's skills and performance etc.
