Hi. I saw this grammar in a Japanese dialogue, and also a game video. They use `ru ga ii, which astonished me initially, before realizing that this could just be another colloquial expression. So is it actually a variant of the `ta hou ga ii gramamr? Thank you.

This is closer in meaning to "...ru to ii," meaning "you should..." Mostly used for dramatic effects in stories, and I can't think of a situation (also depends on how it's said but) that this might come in handy in an everyday conversation...
