Wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit to the Kabuki in Tokyo.
We arrived at 10 am and after half hour queue in the "single performance" line had a standing room only seat for the hour performance at 11. Though we were far from the (revolving) stage, sound and sight was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Reasonable price too - under $10!

The act we saw was exactly one hour. You are expected to leave after that, in the break.
Applause for respected actors as they came onstage and comments called out from the audience gave it a kind of Shakespearian feel.

Sounds great: we have been hoping to experience this on one of our trips but never had time/made time : will look into it a bit more. Thanks for the info.
