I was chatting with japanese guy. He asked,"eigo ha dekiru".I said, "doitsugo hou ga ii desu". Then he replied "Muri"... what that was to be meant?

and ILd like to ask, how to say "ILm about your kidLs age" when someone is asking my age.

I have heard that "afura-" means 40yrs old. where that word comes from?

It means "impossible". In other words, he was saying that he can't speak German.

Its "arafo", a slang contraction of "around forty".
