Watching a video of an old NHK programme about vending machines, they showed a 'store' which had no shop clerks and only vending machines. Does anybody know if and where this exists?

You'll find it a lot in Gunma prefecture, along Route 50, 122, etc. It's sometimes found in combination with a penny arcade.
