cameras at sumo wrestling matches?

Hey everyone, I am going to a sumo wrestling match tomorrow at Ryoku Kokugikan. I am wondering if anyone knows if you can take cameras in. I read in a book that they dont prefer you to use flash photography.. can you still take your cameras in if you dont use the flash? I just want to make sure I dont get my camera taken away. Thanks in advance.

No problem, you can freely take your camera in and take pictures from your seat. If you are there early enough, when the lower ranked wrestlers are competing, the staff are usually fairly lenient of people who stop by the lower section to snap a few pictures. However, they get really strict once the high ranked guys come out, go plan on getting closer shots early.
