family tax exemption 2010/1/25 15:43
I'm trying to figure out if my job will pay my taxes. Have dependent spouse and child. Can I claim any exemption - national municipal or prefectural - and if so how is this done? Alternately do I have to pay any extra taxes for them? Thanks

Yes, there are deductions made from your taxable income for dependent spouse and children.

When it comes to how it's done, are you going to be a salaried worker? Then the company (your employer) will do all the calculations.
