Transfer money from Japan to Brazil 2010/2/9 14:24
I need to transfer around 2000$ from Japan to Brazil. What is the cheapest way to do it?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

some options 2010/2/9 21:52
-Japan Post Bank money transfer
-Paypal
-Western Union will restart their business in Japan.

I usually use JP Bank Money transfer.
The recipient must have his/her bank account in Brazil.

Postal International Money Order 2010/2/11 11:47
I have used Japan Postal International Money Order from Japan to USA.
It is cheaper & good exchange rate. I don't know how it is done in Brazil but in US you get the notice of arrival by mail and you take the notice to pick up the check(s) and deposit at your bank or get the cash. But if the local bank is not familiar, they might hold it for a few days or you might take the check(s) to a Japanese bank nearby.
