International students? 2010/3/5 20:13
Hello everyone~
Next year i will have finished 6th form (British equivilent of high school) and i am considering going on to complete my degree at a Japanese university. Could anyone provide me with a list of Unis that take international undergrads and any other advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you!

Try to google Japanese universities so you get more information...
Private;y financed students are taken usually easier from private universities than from state financed, but are more expensive usually.

So if you are willing to spend over 1 Million Yen and more a year, try to apply at the Top 5 (Keio, Waseda, Sophia...)
Also try smaller ones. Usually have less international students, so better to learn japanese and come in touch with japanese and its a more native-loevel experience, i guess.

Japanese university 2010/3/22 18:53
I'm at university currently studying at Kumamoto Gakuen Daigaku for 4.5 months (It's the only university linked to my UK home one that allows students to be there for half the year).

Here's the website(Japanese and ENglish): http://www.kumagaku.ac.jp/index.html (Jap)
http://www.kumagaku.ac.jp/english/index.html (Eng)

I don't know what the classes are like from a personal perspective as I only arrived last week and classes don't start till April, but I've heard from other students that they're really useful.
There's an International Residence - where I am - but there aren't many other foreigners. However, that could be a good thing!

Anyway, if you've got any more questions, then fire away and I'll do the best I can.
