Changing Address - Gaijin Card

I've just moved address and am looking to open a bank account so I'm guessing I'm gonna need to change the address on my gaijin card. How long will it take for me to get the card back and during the time I don't have my card, is it possible to open a bank account or get a new job?

Changing the address on the card only takes a few minutes (ok like 10-15minutes), you fill out the form, give your card and they write the new address on the back in ink.

Ezikio,
Once you have your Alien Registration Card, subsequent changes to details (e.g. address or employment) take about 5 minutes at your local city/ward office. They just write the new details on the back of the card.
