Faxing from Japan to England 2010/4/20 21:04
Hello,
Just a quick''ish'' question! I need to send an important document to my bank in England by fax. I'm currently in Tokyo.

I went to Family Mart and was asked to type in ''010 + country code + number''

So, I typed in ''010441723123456'', the 44 being the country code, ''1723 being the area code in England, with the first 0 taken off and the 123456 being the number (obviously not the one I typed in!).

However, it just gives a response of saying there was no response. I've tried different ways, with and without hyphens and putting ''0044'' instead of just ''44'' and no luck.

I would ask the staff at the store, but I have very limited Japanese.

Hopefully someone here can help and suggest what might just be a simple mistake I'm doing!

Thanks!

I checked Family Mart's website and they say you can fax internationally. And what you have done seems to be correct.

So I think you should write down a memo to ask for the staff's assistance or try other service.
