Broadleaf evergreens 2010/5/28 15:26
Every time I come to Kansai, it seems that the majority of the local homes have several interesting looking, almost tropical plants in the front yard. These often include what I'd call "broadleaf evergreens". Some I recognize as azaleas and camellias (tsutsuji / tsubaki), but the others?? Does anyone have any botanical knowledge about common yard plants in Japan?

I can provide some photos if that'd help, but I can't post them here, so email me if you want to see photos. Thanks!
