disposing of a laptop 2010/6/10 19:34
Where would you suggest taking an old laptop in Tokyo. The hope is that any useful parts can be used and to avoid the ku recycle fee. (It is too old to be eligible for free recycling).

Akihabara? 2010/6/11 14:36
Whenever I go there, they always have parts, old pcs, game systems, etc lying around in bins and baskets (especially in the deeper, geekier parts of Akiba). Maybe you can just leave it with one of the shops saying it's broken and you don't want it, but if they can use the parts, its ok.

Where do you live in Tokyo?
I lived near a HARD OFF store (a store like BOOK OFF) but they sell hardware items. I sold a lot of my old computer junk to them, they took everything, they didn't pay much, but I didn't have to pay them.
