Trading The Stock Market In Japan 2010/7/28 00:21
Are there any American stock traders out there on the board living in Japan?

I am a full time stock market trader, trading the US market. I've always liked Japan and wanted to try living there for a year or two and see how I like it. Now that I am old enough and self employed, it seems like a good time to go for it.

I guess I'm looking for information on how this would work if I continue to trade the US market (ugh, the hours lol). Do I still need a work Visa?

From what I understand you need a bachelors degree, a job sponsor and or 3 years of work experience. How does this apply for self employed people such as myself who will make money in the US market abroad?

Thanks for any information or references to answer my question.

When you say "job sponsor," what is meant is that you need to be fully employed by a company in Japan, and that that employer needs to sponsor you for a work-permitting visa.
