Music present for Japanese girl

I need your advice to buy some cd's of french singers to offer to my japanese gf.

She is in her early 30's and her music style is us/uk pop. But I don't know that much about the bands she is listening.

I listen to the Rolling Stones, New York Dolls, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Madonna, Blondie...

But you never know. Maybe she likes Bon Jovi, Nirvana, Guns and Roses, Celine Dion (who is Canadian but everyone thinks she's American). Don't ask me. Ask her.
