Are there infomercials in Japan? I don't mean every now and then, but every day, like there are in America.

Oh yeah, in the wee hours of the day, you've sometimes got the exact same infomercials with dubbed in Japanese. I was a bit surprised to see the Shamwow infomercial airing.

All the time on various channels!
During the afternoons, most of TV seems devoted to infomercials.
There's several shopping channels as well.
Also, infomercial products from the USA usually hit Japan within a few years at prices that are 2-3 times higher than the US.
