I've come across it in Japanese conversation as ディー・アイ・ワイ, or just saying the letters "D" "I" and "Y" too.

If you mean shops, it is called DIY (same as English) or hoomu sentaa (came from "home center").

If you mean DIY activities, it is called 日曜大工 nichiyou daiku / Sunday carpenter/carpentry.
