i'm a train and toy collector. are electric or digital trains by kato or tomix taxable? what toys are taxable? will i get these items cheap in japan?

All consumer goods are taxed 5% in Japan, including toys. hard to say if they are cheaper here or elsewhere as you don't say where you are from or give prices for anyone to be able to compare.
