1 or 2 nites in Rusutsu Resort?

Please advise if I should just stay 1 night or 2 nights in rusutsu ski resort if I'm not a avid skier. I should reach the rusutsu by 2 p.m. from Noboribetsu and afraid that I would be bored as there is nothing much around rusutsu. I was thinking maybe can stay an extra night in Sappporo where there are more things to do.
