Teaching in Japan 2010/11/19 11:05
Hi !
I'm from canada and Im studying in french and english at university. I would like to know if it's possible to find a job in japan to teach? Like having a contract before going there? I don't speak a word japanese (in fact yes like 10 or 20 lol)

My native language is english but I live most of my life in french. And my major studies are in french so I would prefer to teach french for sure.

Do you have any informations?
I found the Jet program though.

If you are applying for Jet, you better apply soon. I think most people go to Japan without a job lined up, but I had a job offer before going to Japan. I didn't have the proper visa yet. I got it after I arrived.

I don't think French is that high in demand, but you might be able to find some part time job teaching French in a major city, but majority of the jobs are teaching English.
