name of Japanese film.

Hi,

I need to know the name of a Japanese film. It is a modern film made at least three years ago, put most likely isn't more than 10 years old. It starts off with a the main, male character, in his modern apartment. He is about to commit suicide when a friend/brother interupts his attempt with a visit. The main character later meets a girl. They clean her house. The dvd cover is of them sitting on a sofa, i believe. i know the movie received some sort of acclaim. i think it might have been an indie type move. any help would be apreciated.
