USA newspapers available in Japan? 2011/1/12 19:30
When I was at Narita airport I checked out the newsstands in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and could not find any USA newspapers. I have been told they are sold at Narita, USA Today - the main publication. Any frequent Narita airport travellers know if or where you can buy USA Today and other english printed papers?
I got copies of The Japan Times (in english) and another one but interested in the USA papers. Any help appreciated? I will also be in Tokyo city if the rail stations have them would be useful. Thanks.

They are all available online. Do you have a particular need for a paper version?

Not everyone travels with a laptop or has access to the Internet. Its also often easier actually read a "paper version" especially while travelling eg on trains.
Good luck with this: we rely on the International Herald Tribune in the major hotels

USA newspapers.. 2011/1/13 20:06
Thanks for reading my post. I am not interested in reading online while travelling nine hours, and do not take my laptop anyway. Would be helpful to get a reply if the newspapers are available in Narita or Tokyo anywhere. Am interested in the USA papers as they are not available where I am in Australia.

Takayshimaya Times Square at the Kinokuniya Book Store, 6th floor (foreign books section) to go the magazine/newspaper section you might be able to find a copy of USA Today there. I can't recall exactly but I do remember there being something there.

USA Papers. 2011/1/14 20:24
Thankyou for your information,

I will be in Shinjuku and Shibuya and with a bit of luck may find them there.

It would be great to get the USA newspapers to bring home too! Hopefully other countries newspapers as well, will wait and see. I know english printed magazines are available at Narita airport such as Sportsweek (USA), and some 'gossip; celebrity magazines.

Thankyou again.
