Sumo wrestling outside tournements?

My girlfriend and I are travelling to Japan for two weeks, from July 23rd to August 7th. By the time I land in Tokyo, it will be impossible to make it on time for the last days of Nagoya tournement.

Is there any other kind of events that can be attended? Or maybe visiting training stables?

Also, we don't speak Japanese at all, even though we are taking a crash course to learn the basics.
