Anime or Manga souvenir

Ive got three days left in Japan, all in Kyoto, and am desperate to find a souvenir that will be a constant reminder of my time here. So I've decided I'd like something manga / anime (preferably something with the huge Disney eyes) but I really dont know what. I don't want to spend a huge amount, but do want it to be something that is truly Japanese. Please can anyone suggest anything and anywhere to buy it? I haven't been to the museum here yet, but I'm twisting my wifes arm about that now!
