Crazy request, but these look like cool gifts to bring home from Japan.

Does anyone know where I could find these? We'll be in Kyoto and Tokyo next month.

Thanks in advance

Just check the supermarkets 2011/7/1 18:15
Hi Dale,

if nobody else answers your question, I'll do my best.

During my last stay in Japan, I found different version of this stuff in normal supermarkets (actually, they are somehow cool, but taste horrible ;-) ). This was in Fukuoka, but I'm sure you'll encounter them in bigger supermarkets in Kyoto and Tokyo as well.

Good luck,
Kai

Thank you Kai! I'll be able to get to a supermarket or two. I usually buy other omiyage there anyway.

I wouldn't think they taste all that good! But, we all know that the taste isn't the main draw here.
