How to Address

Hi, I am meeting a Japanese retiree who is a volunteer guide who will show my family and I around Tokyo. My question is, what is a polite way for my son who is 20 years old to address him? The rest of us may address him by name with the suffix san but I feel my son should address him differently as the age gap is large enough for him to be a grandparent to him.

Family name + san is good, such as Yamada-san.

Yeah, just family-name + san works. Same for everyone of you.
So no difference in how you or your son should address him.
