Is stevia as a sweetner sold in Japan?

I often see that it is used in various Japanese products, but I haven't seen it sold separately as a sweetener yet. My search has not been very extensive as of yet, so maybe it is here?
Is stevia (rebaudiana) sold as such? Are there certain brand names I should look for?
